Training at Yangon Technological University

From 4 to 15 November, a training was organized at Yangon Technological University by Dutch companies HKV and FutureWater on the use of satellite-derived data for water professionals in Myanmar. The two week training was organized under the framework of the Orange Knowledge Tailor-Made Training (TMT) Program, funded by NUFFIC, the Dutch organization for internationalization in education. The training in November built on the skills obtained during the first two courses organized in March 2018 and December 2018 and will be concluded by a fourth (final) course in December 2019, all taking place at Yangon Technological University.

Colleague Carolien Wegman gave the training on how to use Google Earth Engine in studies related to river morphology, rainfall, integrated water resource management and land cover mapping.  For more information see an article of the Myanmar Water Portal:  https://www.myanmarwaterportal.com/news/1543-advanced-cloud-computing-for-water-professionals-in-myanmar-using-google-earth-engine.html
