How big is the risk of flooding in your area? HKV has an app for that. For every postcode in the Netherlands, the probability of flooding is shown including the depth of the flooding at the given location. With this information, residents and relief workers can predict what is safest. They are assisted in their decision to either leave the area or to evacuate vertically within the area. This app is in September 2014 replaced by the Dutch app Overstroom ik? (Will I get flooded). The app is free to download from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
